Our Mission

Santa Cruz Communications support believes that a critical component of public safety is maintaining communications. To that end, we support the maintenance of essential communications channels within Santa Cruz County.

From ensuring that the general public has access to emergency alerts via weather radios to ensuring that our first responders have backup communications channels in case their primary system is overloaded or inoperable, Santa Cruz Communications Support is pitching in to help keep critical communications flowing in a variety of challenging circumstances.

We are also pleased to be able to offer communications support to our many public service activities in the county such as bike races.

The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be:

(a) to support emergency, disaster, and public service communications;

(b) to acquire, maintain, have available, and lend equipment to support emergency, disaster, public service, and public event communications;

(c) to support training of a cadre of volunteers that will provide emergency, disaster, public service, and public event communications;

(d) and to seek supportive contacts in government, public and private corporations, and with individuals to further the purposes of Santa Cruz Communications Support
